COMPANY´S HISTORY and SHAREHOLDERS
In 1930, the shipbroker, Wilhelm A.N.Hansen, Esq., founded the company Wilhelm A.N. Hansen, registered at the com panies registrar office of the district court at Hamburg. He died June 12, 1944. There were no activities 1940 1947, when the shipbroker Erich Drescher Esq., borne June 3, 1908, purchased the firm on July4, 1947,from Mrs. Hedwig Hansen borne Heidorn. The change of ownership was registered in the registrar office of the district court on August 19, 1947. (Certificate No. 441/1947 notary public Johannes Müller and Certificate No. 285/47 notary public Dr. Hans Holtappels).

The basis for Mrs. Hedwig Hansen, to sell the company, was her successor certificate of the district court of Hamburg dated May 27, 1947 No. 4 VI 108/47 "Discrepancies" turned up, when the disctrict court of Hamburg Bergedorf issued a renewed "successor certificate" on February 17, 1947 (No. 407 VI 108/47). Erich Drescher was employed shipbroker 1926 - 1939 with Rob. M. Sloman, Hamburg and with Eisen & Metall AG, Hamburg/Gelsenkirchen 1946 - 1947. After his deadth on March 7, 1971, his children, Joachim Drescher, Esq. and Mrs. Sigrid Ebner borne Drescher (now Kuhlwein), took over the firm and continued it as limited partnership company.
The change of ownership brought new "discrepancies", connected with the registry in the registrar office of the district court of Hamburg. Joachim Drescher, Esq. was employed shipbroker with "WILHANSEN HAMBURG" since 1964. The limited partnership as from March 7, 1971 ended on December 31, 1977. A new limited partnership continued the firm until 1985. The company was continued as from May 6, 1983 and registered under WILHELM A.N. HANSEN GMBH with the registrar office of the district court of Hamburg.(Reg. No. HRB 33 983), and operated as WILHELM A.N. HANSEN CO. and after international registry as WIlhelm A.N. Hansen & Co. Ltd..
TECHNICAL AIDS, IN THE PAST AND TODAY
In the early days, contracts were concluded personally on the Hamburg Shipping Exchange, by telephone (only in certain areas), by telegram or letters and circulars. To save expenses, the telegrams were coded by the sender, so that whole sentences could be converted in the course of time.
With improvements in telephone and telex communications and the facilities afforded by air travel, whereby we were able to visit all the shipping markets throughout the world, our technical aids also changed and with them the speed and intensity of our method of working. Nowadays, we use an EDP installation, which has been designed and constructed according to our experience. We started to develop the software programmes since at least 20 years. It is able to register the daily flow of information and to sort it according to market conditions.
Our clients receive the desired information promptly and comprehensively. As a result, we are able to offer a still more accurate and comprehensive service of information for the various categories of customors. Via data input and output appliances (Internet, Datex-J etc), screens and printers, we are internally and externally connected. They are constantly being updated. We are now able to pass on the information appreciably faster than before. For this purpose, we make use of a newly introduced computer installation with automatic single or multiple despatch, with the stored telex, fax and e-mail numbers of our clients. At the work desk of the individual broker, there is therefore today a screen and computer, connectable world wide (Internet,T-Online etc), on which he operates every day.
CO BROKERS AND ASSOCIATED COMPANIES
In 1977, Joachim Drescher, Esq founded DEEPSEA SHIPBROKERS Ltd., London, which was admited to the Baltic Exchange of London,as one of the first German shipbrokers, registered in England.Since February 1978, the liberian firm KAP SHIPPING CORPORATION, Monrovia, Liberia, belong, as head company of the international company group, to a number of firms in New York,San Francisco,Panama,Caracas,Japan and Germany, which act as agents.Because of a sunken ship in November 1981, activities had to be withdrawn partly. There were "constructive" total losses (5 vessels), losses of ship´s orders with yards (7 vessels) and losses of house premises as well as assets of companies, besides the "real" loss of one vessel. Settlements of such losses are mainly still outstanding. One of the connected companies, damaged by such losses,is REEDEREI JOACHIM DRESCHER, Hamburg, reg. No. HRA 58964, Drescher Verwaltungs & Beteiligungsges. mbH, Hamburg, Reg.No. HRB 13797, and several separate shipowning companies.

THE CUSTOMORS´ ADRESSES AND SELECTIONS OF CLIENTS INTO MARKETS BY COMPUTER
Our company collected business reports of visits of us in countries, world wide, since 1947. Details of conversations with clients and with visitors, who came to see us, had been filed in our country files. Our EDP installation is able to sort out individual clients or groups of clients in a variety of combinations according to charterer, owner, capital, purchaser and sellers markets, including shipyards, German suppliers and public bodies. It provides the name of the individual person in charge, telephone, telex, fax and e-mail numbers, etc, and gives a breakdown on the screen or printer, according to their activities and importancy (A, B and C clients), type of employment and categories of vessels. The lists of clients so constructed, can be printed out as address stickers, or list, or multi letters, or be projected on the screens. Because of the modern technology, the screens can be seen world wide. Thus, it is also possible to see, which charterers, owners and shipyards collaborate with which brokers, which owners are engaged in liner trades and tramp shipping, which charterers handle which types of cargo and other information regarding individual firms. In the last 45 years, im- and export dates of countries and firms, engaged in transportation, were collected and analysed. Further developements are looked for and registered regularly.

BROKERAGE OF CHARTERFREE TRAMP SHIPS
Same as in the case of information supplied regarding the sale and purchase of vessels, our programmes also refer back to the vessels´ descriptions of the world´s mercantile fleets and the information, supplied by the owners or co brokers. Each day, we feed our computer with charter free vessels of which we have been notified by the shipowners or their brokers, and our computer makes the selection of dates according to the size of vessel, typ and areas, in which the vessels are charter free. If for instant a charterer requires a vessel for a cargo in South Africa, it is possible for the charter free vessels, to be sorted out immediately and their owners or brokers to be contacted by telex, fax, e-mail or telephone. In the case of cross trade transactions (where both, Owners and Charterers are domiciled outside our country), certain custormer groups in certain countries can be excluded from contacts. We ensure that tramp vessels are passed forthwith, fast and comprehensively, to the right charterers ´markets.
BROKERAGE OF SHIPS FOR SALE AND PURCHASE ENQUIRIES
All vessels descriptions of the world´s mercantile fleet are collected and stored. We register them regularly, once we receive informations from owners or brokers,or from organisations, who have control on ships dates.Ships, which have been offered for sale, are selected, sorted out and printed according to size, details, price and country of the sellers or their brokers. We ensure, that ships offered for sale, are immediately reported into the right buyer´s markets, there, the clients looking for them, and that purchase enquiries of ships become known in the sellers´ markets, there, the clients looking for them.
BROKERSAGE OF SHIPYARDS FOR REPAIR AND NEWBUILDING CONSTRUCTIONS OF VESSELS
The shipyards´s building and repair facilities are sorted by size and countries of domicile. We register also the agents of the yards. We follow up the construction and repair capacities of the yards,as well as the finance programmes for im and ex- port of ships, of the country, in which the yards (and owners) are domiciled. In some cases, there are banks in our country, which offer a supplement finance to the finance offered by the government of the exporting shipyard´s country. We offer our service to assist in obtaining such added finances.
BROKERAGE OF LONG AND SHORT TERM CHARTERS
Our EDP Programme evolved for this purpose sorts all the cargo and time charter orders we receive each day, according to size, category, areas and country of the charterers´ domiciles, so that we are able to report employment possibilities for vessels at any time. We ensure, that cargo and timecharter orders are passed forthwith to the right shipowners´ markets. In the case of cross trade brokerage, we can make sure, that certain custumor groups in certain countries are excluded from our efforts, to avoid conflict of interests. Our company collected Charter Parties since 1947, which form the basis for new negotiations between the Charterers, whose Charter Parties we collected, and any new owners.(our socalled Proforma Charter Party file).
BROKERAGE OF LONG TERM CHARTER CONTRACTS NECESSARY FOR CAPITAL INVESTMENTS FOR SHIPS
As the charter parties offered in the daily markets are usually short termed, finance of vessels and brokerage of private invest- ment capital to be obtained, may be difficult. We therefore look for Charter contracts, long termed, suitable for the finance of ships. Such long term charter contracts include bareboat charter contracts. On this basis, we offer our services to prepare capital investment brochures with calculation details, to be forwarded to the capital investors and banks. In our country, detailed calculations and information about the parties involved in the contracts, must be shown.
BROKERAGE OF CAPITAL PARTNERSHIPS (IN COOPERATION WITH EXPERTS)
We deal with the brokerage of investment capital partnerships in shipowning companies and their vessels. Our EDP installation enable us, to provide profitability, liquidity, yield and tax calculations, by using various types of mortgage financing and capital investments, for the various vessels and their ages and prices. On this background of analysing rentabili- ties of ships offered for sale, capital investment brochures can be prepared and made available to investment consultants, investors and other persons, engaged in capital partnership markets. As our country has a number of banks, who deal with mortgages for ships, we offer our service to assist in obtainung mortgage loans for vessels.
We are also able to handle investment partnerships in shipbroking firms and to obtain investment capital for partnerships in second hand vessels, which are already in operation. (In our country, investors are very often interested to sell partner- ship capital after a couple of years, while the ship may not be scraped so shortly after it was built)
SHIP´S CREWS
Owing to the cost structures in individual flag countries, we also provide information regarding seamen at international rates between shipowners and various seamen leasing firms, through our international contacts.
MARKETING INFORMATION
In our EDP programme we store and sort all contracts which we have registered since 1947 upto now, and trend values are supplyable. We stored fixtures and sales of ships and trend values have been calculated. From the stored data regarding the word´s mercantile fleet,we receive particulars in different variations which we obtain from the various countries, the corres- ponding marketing reports which we shall be sending you upon your application.Through this marketing programme, it is also possible for yield calculations to be supplied for the ships engaged by our ship sales and purchase department at any time, and for the computations to be prepared promptly which are necessary for obtaining investment capital. We ensure that you receive correct evaluatopns, regarding contract and other information, which you would like to obtain from our services section.
REPORTS
We offer detailed analyses and reports regarding ships values and market opportunities (if so desired, by sworn experts), profitability, liquidity, yield and tax calculations for vessels, analyses regarding ship´s operating costs and crew costs. Though important information is already conveyed in the form of a marketing report, we are able at any time, should you wish so, to provide individual and comprehensive reports. We collected such information since 1947.
